HMT Spotlight: Meet Delbert Willie

HMT is pleased to have Delbert Willie join the research team at NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, CO. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Radar and Communications Group at Colorado State University (CSU).
Delbert is from the Navajo Nation originally from Shiprock, NM. He received his BSEE and MSEE from Colorado State University. He has worked previously for IBM in Boulder, CO and Rochester, MN. Delbert’s research interests are in radar systems, weather sensing and quantitative precipitation estimation. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he is very active in Native American dancing and singing. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors where he snowboards, hikes, and gardens. Delbert has been participating in HMT activities since 2012.
